Plant City

Some information about our city.

Plant City is located in the northeastern portion of Hillsborough County in Florida. The City is ideally situated close to Orlando's tourist attractions and Tampa's beautiful west coast beaches, with easy access to interstate highways.

The area is rich in history, dating back to the mid-1800's when Florida was first being settled. Plant City was initially developed as a prime agricultural community. Even today, it is probably best known for its annual Florida Strawberry Festival held in late February and early March where more than 800,000 visitors enjoy the week long celebration.

Plant City's industrial growth continues to increase yearly. Though one of Florida's fastest growing communities, Plant City has never lost its small town charm which is evident in a stroll through the beautifully renovated historic district in the downtown area.
